If you have learned to meditate from any teacher of Vedic Meditation, then you are warmly invited to attend free Group Meditations and Knowledge Meetings led by Thom. These are usually held on Sunday mornings wherever Thom is travelling.
For anyone who has practiced an existing technique consistently for at least 12 months, it is recommended that they obtain an Advanced Technique. In Vedic Meditation, an Advanced Technique is designed to take one’s awareness to that stratum, that layer of consciousness, that comprises the interface between thinking and pure silent consciousness. In short, it allows the meditator to integrate that elusive, deeply charming state that we slip into in our deepest meditations, into every moment of our awakened state. A good analogy for how an Advanced Technique supports us in our evolution is a car shifting from a low gear to a higher gear to gain speed. We can get where we need to go in first gear, but it will take much longer than if we shifted to a higher gear.
The Veda is the ancient record of spiritual experience that is the source of the arts and sciences of Ayurvedic medicine, yoga, meditation, and the whole of Indian philosophy. Knowledge of the Veda is said to confer mastery of all the laws of nature, because the Veda is structured as universal knowledge available within everyone’s consciousness – it is the blueprint of creation.
Thom Knoles is recognized as one of the world’s foremost teachers of the Veda’s true meaning and application. In a six-seminar course of 78 hours recorded over a 2 year period, Thom delves deeply into the Veda and draws out pearls of wisdom that are nothing short of life-changing. Students of Exploring the Veda learn techniques for deepening meditation, for correcting the mistakes of the mind and heart, and for manifesting the life experiences that reveal true fulfillment.
These classes are meant to offer pragmatic, real-life advice based on Vedic Knowledge – a body of wisdom that specifically addresses the everyday issues and challenges that we all face. They provide students with tools and concepts to understand these challenges and make life less stressful and more bliss-filled.
The Vedic Living Series are for Vedic Meditators who have taken AN INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION. They’re offered several times throughout the year and do not need to be taken in any certain order. Each series is a 6 to 8 hour stand-alone class taught by Thom – some recorded over a period of several years. They are conducted in a “semi-retreat” format, allowing students to listen to lectures and have Q&A sessions with Thom and/or additional Vedic Meditation Initiators. These classes are usually conducted in three 2 ½ hour sessions over a weekend.
Private Consultations are individual meetings between Thom and anyone actively practicing Vedic Meditation. A Private Consultation with Thom provides the opportunity to expand your state of consciousness, to resolve problems, or to learn not to create them. You may have identified an issue you would like to resolve or you may wish simply to receive a new perspective on how best to evolve your life; to fulfill your desires. Thom’s speciality is in identifying the sustainable path to progress and in detecting and eliminating obstacles to personal evolution.
