PREREQUISITE
To begin this course, you must attend a free Introduction Talk offered by Thom the night before the class starts.
INTRODUCTION TO MEDITATION
Anyone can learn to meditate at any age. Even if you have a very busy mind, you can learn to meditate.
This course is for beginning meditators, meditators who have not studied the Vedic tradition of meditation, and Vedic meditators who have been out of practice for a significant amount of time. The course focuses on meditation technique, the effects of meditation, and what you should expect to come out of your meditation practice. By the end of the course, you will be a proficient meditator and will be able to continue your practice on your own.

COURSE SCHEDULE
The course is taught in four 90 minute sessions over four consecutive days according to the following schedule. These classes will be offered at various times each day so that you can chose a time that is convenient for you. You must attend all four days.
Day 1 – receive your mantra and participate in a ceremony where Thom welcomes you into the Shankaracharya tradition.
Day 2, 3 and 4 – practice meditation with Thom and learn the techniques, effects and benefits of meditation.
